Custodial Services

The Facilities & Operations Department provides custodial services as a funded services for University of Miami buildings. Each building has a scheduled custodial services program which is created based on the unique needs of the building in question.

Addition reactive custodial services are offered when requested including:

  • Clean-up of spills in public areas
  • Dry Erase markers for classrooms
  • Sanitization of areas following a toiler overflow

To request additional or scheduled services please submit an service request online here. 

In order to provide the highest level of service of possible the University has set specifications for custodial services based on APPA level standar

Housing and Residential Facilities

Custodial services in housing and residential facilities are provided by Facilities & Operations. Our department ensures routine maintenance and cleaning of public area such as:

  • Hallways
  • Stairwells
  • Common Rooms
  • Lobby Areas

We do not provide cleaning services to student dormitories or residential areas - occupants are expected to handle custodial related issues themselves.

Our department does not provide cleaning equipment (mops, vacuum cleaners, buckets, etc.) to students or residents.
